I’m sorry when I cling too hard. You’re the only one who didn’t leave me. I didn’t know you were going to be it. My one and only. The only one who could stand to hear my voice cry. The only sound that could calm my hurried mind from running far away from this painted world. The only hands that could feel my heart pound against the walls of my chest. I don’t think you know how my mind aches. How it scrapes down to my soul, whispering clouded visions. You can’t see how the back of my throat closes with every thought. Every haunting memory. I don’t know why they chose to hurt me. I don’t know why you don’t.
